New Woodland Art

A big highlight of our Daffodil Day was the installation of a wooden circular seat round the large tree just on the right after you cross the first bridge.  The supports for the seat were carved by Rodney Holland who is a qualified Master Chainsaw Carver and gave us the wildlife theme we felt was appropriate for Alva Glen. The actual seating sections were made and assembled by Steven and Nathan - with a little help from Finn the collie!

The wildlife carvings around the base of the bench are just some examples of Rodney's work, As you walk around the glen, keep a watchful eye and you might spot some more examples of his work.
