...at our activities
Anybody can take part in Alva Glen Heritage Trust's activities.
Our most regular activities are our work sessions in the Glen. These take place on the first Sunday of each month from February to November. We usually work for a couple of hours. Typical tasks include tree and bulb planting, scrub clearance, path maintenance, and litter clearing. We meet in the car park on the first Sunday of the month at 11 o'clock.
We also run a programme of social events.
...by becoming a member
Although anyone can join in our activities, if you subscribe to the the Trust as a member, you benefit our work in two ways:
- Your annual subscription goes directly towards supporting the Trust's conservation activities.
- The larger our membership, the greater the chances of external funding bodies saying "yes" to our grant applications. In this way, your annual subscription is worth much more to the Trust than you might think!
As a member, you will receive our regular newsletter.
We have three membership categories:
- Ordinary Membership
If you are 18 or over, live in the Clackmannanshire area and want to support our work you can become an ordinary member. As an ordinary member you'll be entitled to vote at the AGM and stand for office. - Associate Membership
This class of membership is those who live outwith the Clackmannanshire area and wish to support our work. Associate members are not entitled to vote at the AGM or stand for office. - Junior Membership
This is for anyone aged between 12 and 17 who want to show their support for our work. Junior members are not entitled to vote at the AGM or stand for office.
