Membership Proxies and Nominations
A recent change to the Companies Act 2006 means that from October 2007 Trust members have a mandatory right to nominate another person to enjoy or exercise any or all of their members rights. These include the ability to require Trustees to call a meeting and the right to appoint a proxy to act at a meeting.
The proxy will be able to vote and speak at any meeting and will receive copies of the annual report and accounts.

The Trust is now obliged , when calling a General Meeting, to inform all members of their right to appoint a proxy and explain the procedure for doing so.
